915 transmission dimensions
Could someone that has a 915 out of their car measure it for me? I need length, width at the widest point, height at the widest point, and the outside diameter of the bellhousing.

OK. The bell housing is a little larger that 13 inches. The main body of the tranny is 12 1/2'', and offset 3'' down from the top of the bell housing. Starter motor would be on the right, 2/3 up, facing the unit from the clutch end. From the bellhousing to the opposite end of the unit is 23 inches, and there is an additional three inches of casting around the shifter shaft, which is about 3/4 down the main body of the unit, making the total unit 26 inches long, excluding the shifter shaft. The main body is about 9 1/2 inches wide.
