Air injection removal questions

I've droped the engine of my 930 from 1989 and plan on removing the air injection system. I only have 2 questions. In the first picture hereunder, you can see a connection of the air injection system on the exhaust. What should I do with that pipe that comes out of the exhaust once I've removed the air injection? Let it open or close it?

And on the second picture, there is a small tube that's connected to the manifold. Again same question, let it open or shut it down?

I think that closing both is the best option (especially the exhaust outlet).
