What do you look for in used Webers???
I have a 74 2.7 CIS and am working on a winter rebuild. I am considering converting to Webers. What/How do I need to look for to know they are solid.

I would say throttle shaft play would be your biggest concern, after that corrosion, and cleanliness.

Can you explain what throttle shaft play means and what to look for. I also have a 71T with webers so I can play with that a little.

The main moving part is the throttle.....it's connected to the shaft that moves the butterflies. The shaft has bearing and they oval out and cause air leaks when they don't seat right.....
