SmartyCam RPM Bridge
Does anyone have experience installing this bridge in an early 911SC, i.e. 1978. It attaches to the coil but I was hoping someone has done this and can give me some details. The SmartyCam appears to give excellent video, overlayed with speed, acceleration, and g-force data, and with the RPM bridge would also give rpm's in and out of turns - useful for AX and DE.

You might as well go ahead and tell the whole story. 'Cause you know more about it than we do.

I took a quick look at the wiring. I have interest in one of these systems too.
Two choices for you. Use the White wire and connect to the coil. (125-450V input) Use the blue wire and connect to the tach signal in the dash (Black/purple wire) [0-50V input]. I would personally wire it to the tach. Make a simple jumper wire that attaches to the tach with a splitter to send the signal to both the tach and the camera interface. Route the wires cleanly. Then just plug and play each time.

Thanks!! Sounds like a better idea to splice into the tach wire. If you used the coil is it the white wire that goes into the CDI box?
