CIS - what does this pipe do?
the hose on the left end of this pipe was completely severed when I bought my 85, and the car was running like crap during warm up, and idle. I cut the crimp and replaced with a piece of fuel line and some clamps. Runs like a proper P-car now. Will this be good enough for the long run or does the pipe really need a high-pressure crimped fitting? (pic was lifted from another Pelican for illustration.) thanks Bill K
[see pic pelow] correction, not CIS, but a Motronic 85 Carrera. |

I don't know the answer, but
I would like you to know that the pictured engine is a Motronic engine, not CIS. CiS is 73.5-83. SmileWavy |

Several people have done the same fix as you have, I have the same problem (and solution you did) on my 84 Carrera.

Brake booster vacuum supply line?
|
that's the type (brake booster) of line it is, but it goes into the bottom of the intake flex elbow with another couple of hose clamps.
PET lists 930 110 328 03 as a "pipeline" -cool- Pelican has it as "fuel line" at $131+/ea. Bill K |
