tire size on an '85 ROW

Can I run 225 50 on 16 front and 245 45 on 16 rear on my '85 RoW Carrera without worry of rubbing? It's got 205 55 and 225 55's on it now.

Also, anyone running Toyo T1R's?

Depending on your ride height you SHOULD have no problem with the 245/45 in the rear. The 225/50s in front might be an issue. Again, this all depends on what offset your wheels have and your suspension settings. Others have fit that size without any problems.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/452725-225-50-16-front.html

245 45 on 16 are getting harder to find.

It will usally require a lot of front neg camber, fender rolling to get the 225's to fit up front on stock 7" fuchs with a lowered car.

205/245's usally have lots of clearance.

Not much reasion to put 225's up front unless you have close to -3 deg of neg camber or you will just be using the outside of the front tires anyway on the track.
