I don't have any experience with the Dansk, but I did have a Bursch on one of my cars. To start with the Bursch is on the bottom of the price spectrum, and the Dansk is in the upper portion. At least that's my understanding. The Bursch I had was on the car when I bought it. It was made out of mild steel, was pretty light weight and medium loud. It could sound a bit raspy at some rpm ranges. You're kind of asking about apples & oranges, but I'm sure someone with knowledge about Dansk mufflers will reply - maybe someone who has experience with both.

Did you search for the "ultimate exhaust thread". Pages of video clips and info.

If you spend the money for ssi's then spend the money for a decent muffler and get the Dansk.

I have the Dansk, and although I am happy with the sound after I figured out why it was droning, it is a heavy muffler. I want to say it weighed more than my stock single out. 1# +/- Knowing this now, I probably would have gone a lightweight route and sacrificed a bit of the cool sound I got now. But then again, our cars are wildly different.

I have a bursch two in one out - I've had dansk - To tell you the truth - I really like it. And unlike many - the bursch was actually developed with a ton of dyno testing... It was really great that it cost me $25.00. Might be another reason I like it so much

This also depends on what fuel system you have as the stock muffler and dansk work great with MFI. Bursch tripple and m&K did not cut it for me.

Muffler choices

M&K 2 in 2 out, light, stainless, couple of choices in style, cost 750 to 1000

Sycip 2 in 3 out, made from a Dansk 2 in 1 out, vintage design, very cool, expensive, as heavy as a stocker, 1250 or more

Homemade 2 in 2 out, from steel Dansk, etc. Cheap solution, stock muffler + 150 welding and pipe.

If you have SSIs a stainless Dansk Sport would be your best choice, unless you care about weight. I have a Dansk sport that I added a second outlet to. It sounds great and has good power. However it's hanging on the wall in my garage right now.
I am currently running a Bursch because it is 15 pounds lighter than the Dansk and my car is on a diet. It is louder, but I always get comments on how "good my car sounds" with the bursch.
Here is what I'm going to try next. A Magnaflow like Jack Olsen's .

My 79 has SSI's with a Danske 2 in / 1 out. Nice "throaty" sound. So much better than stock but it's not loud. I would do it again. This is not a track car.

Dansk Sport 2 in 1 out . Second to none in my opinion...
