Which clutch cable do I need?

I have a 72 and I'm putting in a 75 trans. Pelican shows three different cables, one of which is the same number as my 72, and two that are for a 75/etc. Pretty sure I don't use the 8mm/6mm as I think that cable was used on some weird 90 degree setup at the trans end. On the 72 at the trans end the cable is held into place at the bottom of trans (solid piece of magnesium) and is slotted on one side so you can slide the cable in from the side. On the75 trans that I have now there is just a hole the cable goes through, no slot. Anyone know which one I should use?
911-423-401-00-M74- my 72 trans
911-423-401-03-M74- Early 75 trans
Thanks
