HELP from 911 CAB owners on installing Child Seats

I need help or advice from anyone that has succesfully installed a child seat in the back of a late 80's 911 Cab.

I have read lots of threads on coupes and targas but cant find anything specific to cabs.

I will need to install 2 forward facing child seats.

I have removed the carpet from the rear shelf and cannot see any anchor points.

With the Cab, the roof takes up all the parcel shelf room when it is down.

Any assistance appreciated.

I've got the baby seat in the front most of the time.

I do have an anchor point (made by the local shop) but as you found out it only works if the roof is up.

Someone has used i think 993 or 996 rear seats but that is a bridge too far for me.

This thread seems to cover how to do it

Albeit not installed in a cab, the solution does not use rear tether anchors, but has the rear tether going straight down and thru a carbiner to an anchor. Cheap to try out to see if it works. Couple of racing belt eyebolts, or use a rock-climbing bolt anchor to clip the carbiner into.

Of course all of this is subject to a variety of opinions on the risks/safety of DIY child seat restraint systems, or putting your kids in the back of a 20+ year old convertible. I'm planning to do this in my cab, but just for neighborhood drives.

Fact: many car accidents happen within 3 miles from home.
Blonde joke: Then why don't these people move? :D
I did not have my cab when my twins were little, but even then it would have been the car I'd use with them in infant seats. JM2CW.
