How do you replace a knob?

I have a cracked off hazard knob on my 1969 911 targa. How do i replace it?

Should be a twist off....just like fine wine...:D

Theres nothing to "twist" off. The hazard knob looks like it was riped off. (maybe when the car broke down the previos owner got pissed and ripped it, and snaped it off.) The knob is gone, and looks like I have to replace the unit somehow.

(my car is not by me and I havent seen this problem so I dont know what it looks like, maybe theres a screw to take out the unit but again, I can't see. Any pics?)

If I remember correctly....the knob pulls out or what is left of it, and spins off counter clockwise. Then the back part, will come off when the bezel is removed.

Ok thanks for the help mike! I'll look at it next time I'm and my porsches garage theres about 1 centimeter of the plastic rod like think thats left of the knob.
