84 911 windshield
gents
just drove the old bird 1100 miles from montana to phoenix. great ride. 75 - 80 mph and 25 mpg. valentine was very helpful. noticed along the way that in different light i can see a zillion tiny bubbles in the windshield. not chips. other times can't see the little nippers. is this an aging prob? or, a function of 1980's glass manufacturing. thanks, ed

Almost all older 911's have this....symptom of the *very soft* window glass used for 911's at the time....you are seeing minor sand-blasting effect from grit. My nearly perfect 85 Carrera with only 61k miles...had this showing up visibly as I headed into the sunset. At almost all other times you would swear it was nearly new and perfect glass.

same with my '84, replaced it this past summer. In the right sunlight it was nasty.
