Odd to break up a service manual before the end of the SCWDP reign of terror....the SC stopped production in 83, not 82....

I wouldn't spend too much money on a Clymer manual. Only a Clymer could have more inaccuracies than a Haynes!
The Clymer m/c repair manuals were infamous for such gaffs as showing pictures of Hondas in a Yamaha manual! !

While I must agree with my esteemed Northern Pelican'er, I must say that sometimes, sometimes you get the best information in the most unlikely of manuals.
That is why I almost always purchase manuals on a car or motorcycle I own just to get a 3rd/4th view on a process. For me, the Haynes manual was the only one (Bentley, etc.) that clearly showed the pin in the clutch release lever and thus saved me alot of frustration trying to figure out why the lever would not come off and my clutch cable/horseshoe spring job a loss of time. Ya never know. But pay too much and you'll be disappointed that is for certain. BTW: There is a 944 Clymer manual at my local used bookstore if anyone would like me to get it for them. Also have a nice Rolls Royce review and a glossy hardcover on the A8. John
