Tuning carbs with an O2 sensor?
I understand how an exhaust gas analyzer like a Gunson Gastester can be used to measure CO output, which can then be used to help dial in the correct jets. What about a wide band O2 sensor? Would this give me helpful information? I'm thinking it would be nice to collect data under actual driving conditions, but don't know enough about exhaust gases to know whether I'm talking apples and oranges.

O2
I think that using an 02 sensor, as feedback for tuning, is the way to go. I have been using an Innovate LM-1 with wideband O2 to tune up my current EFI, Megasquirt project, but I have also used it for MFI. It allows you to monitor and datalog the A/F mixture while driving and then you can analyze the results and modify your set up accordingly. Should work well with your carbs.
