Oil tank cleaning

Hi, I have a 1971 911 oil tank, It seems to be plastic.. I just finished rebuilding my 2.4 L engine ,what is the process for cleaning the tank?

I have not heard of 911 oil tanks being plastic. However, I have an '81 and as soon as I start sharing my "knowledge"on 911s out of my experience zone, I can be wrong. Here is an ebaymotors link (below) to a 70-71 tank. I don't think it is plastic.

Post a pic (click "Go Advanced" and there is an upload photo option) of your car and the tank.

If it is metal then take it to a radiator shop and have them boil it out. It should be pretty cheap. For sure under $50.
