My winter parking solution

Wish me luck with the management... No other spots available in the building.

Don't know if that truck and those bikes are yours or not, but if not,
I think I'd invest in a protective cover and some foam rubber. I would also disable the ability to start the car, and maybe even remove the plates.

I'd go to home depot & pick up a 1/2" piece of 4x8 plywood. Stand it up next to the car with a pad between the car for protection. You could even drill two holes in the ply & wire tie it to the door handle.

I'd be wary of the bike falling over.

Is the Rover parked for the winter, or moving in & out?

The Rover and bike are both mine. The car is covered now, I took the photo when moving them around. The rover will be moving in and out as it's my daily driver, but I'm the only one who drives it and it's pretty easy to slide in here. I wound't dare have anyone else parking that close to the 911

I do like the plywood idea.

I'd consider parking the bike facing the other way so the side stand is away from the car. That way if it should accidentally fall over it will be more likely to fall away from the 911.

While I doubt the bike would fall on its side on its own I would put it in first gear to prevent rolling forward as an extra precaution. I have seen kids in garages mount on a bike that is not theirs...

Actually, unless the bike is moving forward, it would fall over AWAY from the kick stand. Block the wheels and park it in gear, and there should be no problem parked that way.

I'm actually thinking of putting the bike in my living room for the winter. It could be a cool piece of "art".

Funny...I used that logic when I purchased my second 911 (a 72911T) about seven years ago....mysteriously I am still married. She must be a keeper!

I wish. Don't ask me how I know a BMW bike can fall to the kickstand side and hit a 911 in a garage. At least most of the minimal damage was limited to the bike not my 911.

I can't imagine how that would possibly happen. Anyway, you're supposed to park your bimmer on the centre stand.
