Fire Extinguisher Install
I'm about to install a fire control system in my 74. My thought is to put the bottle in front of the driver's seat and run a line rearward along the driver's side edge then somehow into the engine compartment. Looking for suggestions about the feasibility/practicality of doing this, specifically on the routing of the rearward line. Another line will be pointed at me or my feet. Thanks, Jim

Sounds like an odd place to put it as it may hamper you getting out of the vehicle quickly if there actually is a fire. You might cross-post in the racing forum to get feedback from the guys that need fire systems in their cars.

Usually on the passenger side, in front of the seat, on floor.
You typically want the weight on the passenger side anyway to help balance your weight. Nozzles in cockpit bottom of dash, pointed at your crotch, others engine compartment and gas tank. I used ESS, install directions here: Support |
