Quick steering rack question

Ok, I was just digging around under the front end of my car ('69 911T) draining a gas tank full of crud when I noticed the number on my rack.

It's from a 914, VW stampings and all.

A near future project is turbo tie rods (I already have the kit.) Am I going to have any problems?

Thanks

Dan

bump for someone who knows steering.

Any functional differences between 911 and 914 steering rack?

Thanks

If I remember right the 914 and early 911 had the same front suspension.

Pelican offers the same kit for both the 911 and 914.

load in part number 901 347 010 02 and it will say superseded. to the 914 number.

Check page 263 of the 69 parts manual for original number.

For one, 4 lug vs 5 lug for the 911. There may be other differences.

It sounds like it is unlikely to be a problem.

I'll post an update once the tie rods are on, let the community know how it goes.

Thanks for the help! SmileWavy
