Right front noise

I have a 2000 Boxster. At a constant speed a humm develops. If I lift ever so gently my foot off the gas it goes away and if I accelerate it goes away all to come back.If I turn right and accelerate from a stop it returns and stops once in a straight line.I have noticed similar threads here and there and I am wondering if someone has found the cause. Some think it's a fuel problem(vacuum or valve or leak).I have had it for a year and it is starting to bug me.Craig 3387 has a similar problem on his 2000 carrera.Hope I get a solution. Thanks

have you checked wheel bearings?

noise

My mechanic checked and all is tight. As it is intermitent I don't believe it is the beariting .Also just lifting the foot off the gas stops it.The bearing would dtill make some noise. And it has not gotten worse in 3,000 miles.Bearing would have already been destroyed. Thanks for the reply

Used to be a high traffic Boxster board called Porsche Pete's. It's closed now, dunno why.

Rumor has it PedrosBoard is the replacement. Boxster info that you won't get on a 911 site.
