door lock clip
Hi all,
This list is just great! Had a problem with driver door not locking. Took door panel off and found the plastic clip/joint with the socket in it to clip on the door look rod was cracked. Can these be found locally or are they Porsche specific? Seems like I have seen these in a parts store before but can remember. |

Watching with baited breath - mine broke this past summer. I can still unlock the car with the driver key but the only way to lock it is to reach in and turn the knob. I usually just set the alarm and leave the door unlocked. The biggest gripe is that I tend to open the door and set off the alarm...

Just had the same problem on my drivers door. The replacement part is 964.537.571.00.
What was three parts on my car have been replaced with a single 964 part number. I suspect the whole assembly is now one plastic part. When It gets here I'll let you know.

The clips can be bought. I bought a bunch here in Canada at "Canadian Tire", they were really quite cheap and they work well -2 years now

I am bringing this thread back up because I just tried to order this part, and it is not the nylon clip mentioned above.
It comes up as a rod. If anyone knows the correct number, please pass it on. Thanks |

964.537.571.00 is the correct part and it replaces three former parts. Here is a picture of the part. The former clip is at the bottom left, and the attacment to the power lock actuator is at upper right.

Do you mean the rod that connects to the power door lock motor, or one of the small plastic clips that hold the rods into their respective holes. If you mean the latter, the part number is 911-531-563-01.
