Re-Attaching Rockers - Which nylon washers go where?

Anyone got pics or a diagram showing which nylon washers go in what position on an ~88? I forgot to take pictures before I took mine off and am now confused.

Thanks.

Maybe some pictures will help people see what I mean and provide me with some guidance.

When I took the rockers off I noted that of the 6 screws (3 on each side) some had two nylon washers and some had one. I do not remember the exact matchup and I want to get this right.

There are a total of 9 washers. 3 are thin, and 6 are double width.

There are a total of 9 screws. 3 are short and 3 are long.

There are 3 clamps for holding down the oil lines on the right side of the car.

I've currently got them attached as shown in the following pictures:

Left (drivers' side):

Rear: Small + Large with short screw
Middle: Small + Large with short screw
Front: Large + Large with long screw

Right:

Rear: Small with short screw
Middle: Large with long screw
Front: Large with long screw.

This is _almost_ correct. I think. The problem is really the right side of the car; things just don't feel like they fit right and it appears the rocker panel is warping in at each of the 3 attachment points. It also seems odd that all the short screws wound't go on one side (left) and all the long screws on the other (right).

I don't want to play trial-and-error anymore and I'm hoping someone with an unmolested '88ish car with pictures or a good diagram showing correct installation can help.

Thanks in advance!

I stopped by the place where my bumper is being painted to check on it today (it's painted and ready to be picked up tomorrow!) and there just happened to be a VERY, VERY nice 1987 Carrera there that is almost in as good of shape as mine.

I looked underneath it and discovered how these nylon washers are supposed to be mounted. I was close. Here's how it works in case someone else needs this info:

Left (drivers' side):

Rear: Small + Large with short screw
Middle: Small + Large with short screw
Front: Small + Large with short screw

Right:

Rear: Large with long screw
Middle: Large with long screw
Front: Large with long screw.

In other-words: The short screws go on the left with a small & large nylon washer. The long screws go on the right with one large washer.

FWIW, the '87 that was there is apparently getting prepped to be sold at Park Place Motors in Bellevue, WA. It is an '87 with about 60K miles on it. Black on Black and in FANTASTIC original condition. 16" Fuchs. Sunroof. The paint has beautiful original orange peel, the wheels are great (except for externally mounted weights). The engine bay looks almost identical to mine (slightly more wear/dirt than mine, but still has original stickers). It appears the carpet is original and very nice. I am betting the seats have been re-covered as the bolster on the drivers side shows almost no wear which is impossible after 60K miles but they look great.

No idea what Park Place willl be asking for it but if you know someone looking for a G50 3.2 car with low miles and original condition...

Cheers!

I am going to fabricate my own nylon washers. Any idea the thickness of the short and tall ones? Thanks!
