I just got back from my first drive in my '77 Carrera 3.0 in 2 years. I truly forgot how frick'n fun these cars are. Been involved in a DYI full tilt bare metal resto on this car. This was brought on by a City garbage truck side swiping it.( they said it didn't happen despite there paint and tire marks). Still have to finish the interior and install the fiberglass valances, but today got my enthusiasm level rocketing again.

Pictures are coming! I have spent so much time on the car that I didn't even take "in progress" shots. Had to go out first thing this morning and drive around the block.

I'll try to get pictures up this weekend. As far as clubs, I like this one just fine. I just really enjoy driving and tinkering with the cars (I have a 944 too), rather than meeting for monthly wine and cheese parties. I know I'll get blasted for this, but I feel better talking with somebody that gets grease under their fingernails, then the typical (new?)Porsche owner who buys it for just the name. I went to see and talk cars at a recent PCA event in Scottsdale recently only to find that the majority of the owners wouldn't even respond politely to a "good morning". Yes there were a few who really "drove" their cars, but I was very disgusted at this "Club" attitude. Anyway, sorry for the rant, but I'll show you the fruits of my labor very soon.
