Seat hinge

Greetings Porschephiles.

Got into my old 70 T recently and the drivers side seat hinge let's loose and makes me recline at odd moments like when I'm accelerating onto the freeway.......

I've tried lubricating it and it doesn't help, so I think I'll need to take it apart.

Does anyone out there know how to fix the one I've got or for that matter locate a replacement.

Thanks,

Dirty Marty

Early seats have latches and ratchets that wear out.

At the very least you'll need to disassemble, look for what is worn or broken and replace. Parts are available, if Pelican doesn't have it....which I'm pretty sure they don't. Try the earaly S board or the 356 Registry.

They have vendors that do repops and you can also try ********'s Porsche in the midewest.

Good Luck.
