Need help choosing replacement shocks

I wish to replace the shocks on my 73 T Targa, 73,000 original miles. Car originally had Konis. Now has Koni inserts in front with Bilstein shocks in rear (not sure why prior owner did this??). I find the ride harsh now, and plan to use the car for touring. My thought was to replace all 4 with Koni's, which are adjustable prior to installation. I can thus set them soft. As I search for Koni replacement inserts and shocks, I have found only one choice for the front inserts, which are hydraulic, as original. However, there are two choices for the rears. These include a hydraulic unit, model#82-1756 and a gas filled, model #30-1214. It seems the gas-filled are correct for 74 and newer cars.

Any suggestions as to which way to go?

Thank you.

FWIW, I had Koni hydraulics on my '69 912 and liked them a whole lot. As always, your results may vary.
