OC Mechs

I know for a fact that Andial is the premier porsche Auto repair place. They do excellent work, the only draw back is that they are not cheap, and there might be a waiting list. I think they are located on Harbor BLVD in Costa Mesa.
Good Luck

Two I have used:

Hergesheimer Motorsports: 20622 Pascal Way # C Lake Forest, CA (949) 458-7223

Laura H. hangs out on this board every now and then. I've used them and they are highly recommended. They are a race shop which gives me a lot of confidence, and very personal with their service.

Haydon Brothers Automotive: 1480 N Lakeview Ave Anaheim, CA (714) 777-7988

The PO used them to do substantial work on my Carerra. Very professional shop, and my pcar runs like a dream.

Haus of Performance (714.545.2755) in Costa Mesa is also recommended by our local PCA and might be closer to you.

Factory Werks in HB (714.373.4828) advertises in the Pandemonium, but I have no experience.

Andial, as Eric pointed out, is a Primo shop (with Primo Prices to match).

I'd check out Herg's - and as a plus there are some nice roads around there to open it up. There are a few other OC posters on the Pelican Board, let's see who they recommend.

Well, mine's in the shop right now at EuroSport in Santa Ana (Costa Mesa area). Looks like my 1st gear syncros exploded, so I'm getting everything replaced. Don't have the car back yet, so can't recommend EuroSport just yet, but I can tell you that his price for the work is extremely reasonable. I went throught this fiasco with a shop in Dana Point a couple of years ago and it cost me double what EuroSport is charging me.

I also considered taking the car to Hergesheimers, and had a couple of conversations with Laura. They have excellent customer service. I sure you couldn't go wrong with them.

South O.C. Mechanics

Try Chris at Newport Motorsports 949 642 5810. The shop is on Old Newport Blvd., just up from PCH. His personal car is a 1970 911 S Targa. His is the owner and the mechanic. When you talk to him, you are talking to the man who will be working on your car. Great results using him.

i would go to:

1). hergesheimer motor sports: good folks there. they understand porsche cars -- from race vehicles to early '70's cars with MFI. plus they are good people -- down to earth and trustworthy. a good trait when you turn your keys over to the.

2). andial: what more needs to be said about these guys? they've been around porsche's since god was in junior high. i went there once and saw a 959 being worked on. turns out that one of the andial brothers was trained at the factory to repair them. i visited their shop on a PCA tour. wow........i had no idea they had touched so many of the great porsche racers ! also good people.

after that, you're on your own.
