901 to 915 shifter?

Hey Guys, I've got a question.
My 1974 911 has a 901 transmission and a 2.2 engine from a 1970 car. I will be putting in a 1978 3.0 engine and 915 transmission. Will the shifter and linkages need to be changed?
Thanks in advance for any help!
Jeff

Yes, it's a bolt in, just get a shift assembly from your local auto parts re-cycler and screw it into the console. I even ran a 915 shift assembly on a 901 trans, using a Seine Systems gate shifter to set up the spring for 1st.
