VW motor or stick to Porsche motor?
I need a motor in my 911 to get me moving while I rebuild/clean the original 2.0L engine. I can replace it with a 2.0L from a 1970 for 1,500 without carbs, 100k+ miles. But this motor isnt a speed machine so is it worth it? Or should I put in a VW motor in? What performance drops will I look at? Whats this VW "butcher" stuff about? I can put a VW motor in the 901 tranny? Will I perminantly change anything?
