Hi Guys - Steering Wheel Question ..

I have an 89 930 and I've just done the old high beam low beam fix and when I've gone to put everything back together I've noticed this wire hanging down with no obvious point of dettachment - can anyone tell me where it should be ??

It's the loose wire at the bottom ..

Cheers ..

Ben

Sorry to high-jack - what is the "old high beam low beam trick" - the suspense is killing me!!

Thanks,

Ray

that might be for your horn, attaches to the back of the white plastic piece at the top of your photo.

if you ground it to anything metal when the ignition key is "on" and your horn sounds, the proof is in the honk!

Good luck!

That's the ground tab for the horn. It is held in place by a small screw to the lower right in the metal plate below the steering shaft. The plastic shrouding is held by the same screws so have fun holding the metal ground tab in place while aligning the plastic shroud and then threading the screw through both.
