Right camfeed oilline too short?

I have a problem someone might have a fix to.

I am upgrading a 2,0 1969 E engine to carrera, oil-feed chain tensioners only to discover that the right side cam oil line is too short!!...

I have done some investigation and found the in some cases there are a oil pressure sender block mounted in between...

I think its this one...

However my oil pressure sender is mounted on the rear, right side (oil-in) and I dont really want to move this part from there...

Question: Has anyone encountered the same problem - Im thinking that a simple distance piece of about 4 cm between the engine block and the original oil-line fitting could do the trick?...

Hope you guys can help :-)

Use the pressure block and plug the sender hole.

OK - but really... there must be a smarter way... Im thinking about making my own distance piece... it should'nt be much more complicated than basically threading a small pipe in both ends... perhaps with a little finesse :-)...

Is there really no one outthere done the same? - pics are appreciated

I ran into the same issue when I upgraded my 72. Call Pelican. There is a correct line you can use to avoid plumbing it yourself. As the longer line was the same price as the shorter one, I returned the unused line from the kit and they sent me the correct line.

Edit - I don't know if you bought your kit from Pelican Parts or not... but they stocked the correct line. I actually had the same thoughts as you...trying to plumb it myself. The longer line is a much more tidy and "correct" alternative.

The problem is that I did not buy from our host... I live in Denmark Europe :-)

Is there a partnumber on that longer line?

Pelican offers this as an OEM local p/n "PEL-CLIN-KTN" but I also came across the Porsche part number 930-107-348-10.

My post...
