Talking low oil prices

Just got back from Walmart.
Mobile 1 in 5 quart jugs for $17.88!! That's about $3.60 / quart.
Castrol Syntec 5 quarts for $14.88! That's about $3.00 / quart.
Lots of weight choices.

That's almost as cheap as Kendall GT-1. I've been toying with the idea of switching, but I'm affraid of the oil leak monster!

Wal Mart puts that special on about once a quarter it seems. They never advertise it, you just have to keep your eye on it or rely on someone to pass it on. Over the holidays, Target had Mobil 1 for $2.99 a quart. I couldn't believe it. Went back the next day and the sale was over. Oh well.

For those that use dino oil, Wal Mart's regular price for Castrol 20W50 is 12.60 a case. You won't beat that price anywhere.

The only problem with getting your Mobil One at Wal-Mart, is fighting your way past amazonian women shopping for support hose.

Doug, try letting the Amazonian carry 2 cases for you while you carry 1 to the checkout!

Somehow sounds a little too kinky for me Doug. Wearing a case of Mobil 1 with a mean Amazonian. The ratio was right though. Her two cases to my one.

also, if you need cheap oil for another vehicle like 5w-30 or 10w-30. the walmart brand supertech is made by quakerstate has a paraffinic base (good) and is only about 4 bucks for a 5 quart jug. also, i think the supertech oil filters are made by stp as they are indiscernible from one another and are $1.97

i tried this stuff as an experiment in my wifes car a few days ago and will see how things go.

just a tip for cheapskates...

Okay, I'm back from Wal-Mart...the nation's economy is now secure. Wal-Mart and Mobiloil stock should both enjoy a slight rise Monday morning, thanks to this board.
