Clunk from the rear when lift off/reverse/start/u-turn

hello , I'm sorry for the noob question but this clunk is driving me insane !!!

the sound appears when going in reverse or starting from full stop and it appears when I lift off the gas pedal or doing a right 90 degree turn .

I made 2 vids of the noise , I think it could be the CV , but there's no play at all

CV joints generally make a sound like a horse's hoof on pavement. also can be a single snap when doing what you describe. my 930 just started that, so it's time to get gooey.

Had a similar problem about a month ago, rebuilding the axles cured the problem.

yup , and it was changed about 20.000 miles ago , no oil leaks whatsoever , not even from the cv boot .

Regardless of what the cause of your "clunk" is, 20K miles is a long time, IMHO, for a trans fluid change . . .

Couldn't hurt to check that all the CV mounting bolts are torqued home and not backed out. I had my front engine mount bolts back out once. One was missing and the other was on its way. Made noise on torque reversal.
