Rear Seat Upholstery??
I am changing out all my interior upholstery on my 79 targa- the original was a pumpkin orange color vinyl and I am putting in a camel leather. Anyhow, I pulled the rear seats out last night. The bottoms were foam over horse hair- not uncommon for 70s cars- but the center inserts were simply (and poorly) glued directly to the car body.
Has anyone come up with a better solution for installation? Thoughts or ideas welcomed! I will hang some photos this weekend to show progress... Best- Matt

That is also the case on my 86 cab... I don't know that you can easily modify this, or even why you would try. Once the seats are properly glued on they just won't move.

im redoing the interior in my 85 targa. I put a layer or two of that dynomat- The tar stuff and a heat insulating layer. After which I glued the carpet down, and glued the bottom seats to the carpet and the insulating layer of the dynomat. They don't move at all.
