Refinishing dash trim

I put a pretty deep scratch in the plastic dash trim by the headlight switch. Has anyone refinished this trim and managed to match the texture with a texture paint? If so what did you use?
Thanks

Well, with a little skill this can be fixed without any problems. I did this with fixing drilled holes in the lower frame of of the radio slot.

Tape the area all around, but not too tightly, so that the black spray can fade in better later when painting.
Then apply some plastic filler to the scratched area and sand it smooth.

Then paint the area with black texture spray, fading lightly into the neighboring areas.

The result is the reward.

Thank you that is exactly what I was looking for. What brand/type of texture paint did you use?

"Spray Max" here in Germany is a known brand with superb quality. Also for there "2k aerosol" Products.

You can get different textures in fine, medium and coarse ... check what fits best to the origin texture you want to achieve
But I think on the US market you'll get a product with also superb quality.
