Rear spring plate torsion bar R&R tutorial
I am in the process of doing a spring plate bushing and torsion bar change and have been looking for a tutorial with pictures, but cannot seem to find one? Am I missing something or has one not been done?
Thanks for the help |
Did a search and found all kinds of threads. Here's a few to get you started. Read and then re-read before you start anything. Get an angle finder and review the angle/ride height relationship in the last thread below. Make sure you know what your cars weight is and what size t-bars you have so you can estimate the correct ride height.

This is the link that really puts it in an understandable form;
911 Rear Torsion Bar Replacement, great explanation |
Hmmmmm... just read this last tutorial- it fails to mention that first you level the car before taking spring plate readings.
