Carpet question
I'm putting together a 993tt. I've purchased a complete interior along with body parts and drivetrain parts in a package deal from a porsche dismantler. When it came to the carpet they said they didn't have any good sets and it was backordered from porsche and backordered with the aftermarket companies (after I had paid). Long story short this dismantler had his interior shop build me a custom carpet set... I received my custom carpet kit today and the first thing I noticed was how lightweight the carpet is. There's no backing and you can see through it when you hold it up to the light. I worked an a stereo shop when I was a teenager and this looks like the carpet we used to cover speaker boxes with. Can anyone comment on the quality and availability of carpet sets for my car? I would imagine that carpet you can see through won't wear very well. Any input would be appreciated.

Where you usually find the backing is the carpet that runs along the floors, tunnel, etc (the rest of it does not). If you find a supplier that puts on a backing to the above mentioned carpet let us know!

Thanks guys, I'm just concerned about long term wear on this stuff. It's so light I don't think it will hold up well at all. There's piping on parts of it but no backing at all. It would blow away in a gentle breeze... Does anyone have pics of their carpet kits? This seems very cheap to me...
Thanks again
