911 sc rear wiper motor wiring

Hi All,
Can anybody find a wiring diagram for the rear wiper motor on a '78 SC?
I have searched but not had any success.
If not does anyone know what each of the four terminals are?
I guess there is a GND and 12V but I'm unsure why there's two others.

The switch on dash has four connections which I guess go direct to rear motor but mine has failed and maybe motor has too.

I was looking at the wiring for my '75 in the FSM. Looks like the wiring is the same through '89.
There are 4wires for mine also, a diode with different power and ground sources. I opened my wiper motor to see why it would only run for a minute or so. After removing the cover, it became very clear as to why it would only run for a short while. The spring to tension the motor brushes was a rubber band, that had aged and lost it's ability to tension the brushes. I replaced it with an o-ring and the motor works just fine now.

Any chance you could post some pics of your wiper motor in its mounting position. specifically the part where it mounts to the hinge and location on the deck lid outside?
