Rear Ride Height? Picture
Posted is a picture of a 74 911. The rear ride height is really off. Rear fender to ground cleareance on the rear is over 4 inches lower than the front. Took a closer look and it appears to have like new rear Bilsteins. What should be the correct ride height for this car. Thanks

Measure the height from the fender lip to the ground, front and rear. To ME, the front looks high....
Front end height is an easy fix. How is the tread wear on the tires?

Ride height adjustment.........
If you searched and looked for the most common ride height for this vintage car, you'll find that 25.5" (front) and 25" (rear) are most popular setting. Others have slightly lowered height. It all depends on your desired height and the camber setting. The front is easy to adjust. For starter, post the actual heights you have and maybe you won't need to re-index the rear TB's. Keep us posted.

here is my '77 with original suspension and lowered to "European" ride height. The shocks were pooched badly. It actually dropped to 22 ins. in the back. The rear tires tuckked up under the fender. Originally it was 25.5 + ins.
![]() And this is after I installed new Bilstein Sports. My car sits 23 ins. from bottom of the fender to the ground - front and rear. It took a few miles and it settled beautifully. Almost 3,000 miles later it stil sits just fine! Also, I am running 185/70 tires on 15X6 rims. ![]()

The FRONT is WAY too high. High enough that it might be dangerous at high speed.
Rear actually looks good to me, very slightly lower than original height... |
