Seeking Motronic programming software
Other than what I have, does anyone know any other software available?

chip mapping
I think a couple of the most popular programs these days are either the DTA or Unichip systems. Check out these links for more info:

Eric,
Thanks, however I don't want to replace the whole Bosch Motronic system or piggyback another computer to it. Programming and tweaking the existing chip is the ideal solution. |
Ahhh. Well in that case, here is a pretty cool looking DME programming utility that I came across. You can download a demo (full version, just can't save) from the site as well:
www.bonnevillemotorwerks.com/dmeedit.html Or you might try doing an internet search for "Super HexWin" or "PromEdit". |
"...under varying loads and rpm, it seems the a/f mixture is too lean under certain conditions, too
rich on others." Steve, Are you assuming your engine intake manifolds are free from any vacuum leaks? Would it be a good idea to reseal your manifolds to make sure since you will be putting a great deal of faith in your O2 sensor voltage, in case your input data is bad, your newly reprogrammed chip may only correct the faults of your particular engine which may or may not have vacuum issues, however insignificant they may appear?
