Replacing injector connectors

Well, how do I manage this. In typical Bingham fashion, I've gradually broken the plastic off of these and the retaining clips don't stay on right.
1) How do I replace these plastic thingies
2) How the *&^(*(* do you take them off without breaking them?

Hello

pre 88 DME connectors are NLA and they are sealed from the backside so you only can cut them flush on the rear from the case and get the new connector ( New version with rubber seals and unloseable steelclip ).

In germany those connectors can be bought as single units . You can shop at Porsche, Mercedes, Audi, BMW, Volvo, Bosch, Alfa, Ferrari,.... even some japanese ( Honda ).

Amp produces a replacment as well.

I recently replaced my fuel injectors and recall that all you need to do is to slide off the metal clip that holds them on to the rail.

Hello

Didn´t we talk about the Electric connectors !????

Hello

Forgot to answer your 2nd quest:

Lift the metalclampring with a small screwdriver on the open corner, then pull the connector a bit backward and if it will not come out then do the same with the other side.

You also can remove the complete clampring and put it aside.

Watch out there is a little rubbergasket inside the connector. Falls out easy and isn´t magnetic ;)

Grüsse
