Adjusting clutch pedal on Carrera

I just installed a new clutch in my '84 Cab. The problem is that the pedal goes to far to the floor (I can even sometimes hear metal rubbing in the clutch...release bearing and fork I presume...when I fully depress the pedal). Is there a way to limit how far down the pedal goes, like some sort of stopper? I looked on the wood board and saw nothing; the pedal goes until it hits a metal stopper welded to the metal floor.

There should be a rubber slider at the end of the slot where the clutch arm travels...if not, you are missing a part.

Yeah, I found a photo of this in a book and I have the slider but it is missing the rubber piece. Anyway to get just that piece, or make something comparable (drill in a piece of wood)?

The wood board behind the pedal should have an adjustable stop. Perhaps your is missing. If so, you at least see a threaded hole for the screw the holds the stop.
