Excellence Magazine Does book Review on Wayne's 101 projects

Just a note to let everyone know that Wayne's book "101 Projects for Your Porsche 911" was reviewed in Excellence - April 2002 Issue.

Rick Glesner who did the review gave it a thumbs up. In his last paragraph he states:

"If you're a weekend 911 mechanic and don't mind getting a little dirty - alright a lot dirty - this is a great book. Dempsey's book is a colorful and helpful bargain. I only wish it didn't stop with 101 projects because there's even more to say on the subject. I hope a second volume is in the works. Rick Glesner

Well done Wayne.

Steve

Usually, I read the review, then decide whether to buy the book. In this case, I read the book before the review. I was waiting for the reviewer to find some kind of fault with 101 Projects, but he never did. And neither did I. Great job Wayne. -- Curt

I've already used the book for the windshield wiper reversal, the steering wheel removal, and the fuel filter & accumulator replacement. All were easy, thanks to the book, and all would have been a pain in the --- without the book. First hand experience, its really well done.

Good thing we got ours when we did!

It is always nice to hear someone else say what you already knew.

Someone help me here. One of the many many things I have never really understood about America, is how you can buy an April 2002 magazine in January???

Allow me to explain.....

Excellence is only published 9 times a year. Feb, Apr, May, Jun, Aug, Sep, Oct, Nov, Dec. Issues usually appear before the actual calendar date.

You're welcome.

Don't worry...in a couple months you can buy a 2003 model year car. I always thought this was a more recent occurence, but my '55 pickup was built in October 1954...

See, but, but, but, the April issue could be called the February issue and no-one (ok, just me) would complain.

Don't get me started on the cars. At least you can buy a 2003 car in 2003 (I bet the April Excellence is toilet paper by the time April rolls around).

What continues to piss me off, is that the offices of Excellence mag are about 60 miles from here, and the east coast guys are getting their new issue already. I probably won't see my issue for a week or more.

Whats even worse is finding out that the subsciptions to Excellence that I gave to my buds as christmas gifts, actually arrive at their homes days before I get mine...

Kudos Wayne...

I thought every country is the same way. After all, some UK posters talk about issues of 911 & Porsche World that we in the US won't see for months, but when they arrive the month on the cover is indeed the correct one, or close. At Borders bookstore I just picked up the February issues of Classic and Sports Car and Classic Car, with February being a mere 2 days away...
