How Do You Know CIS Throttle Bodies

A friend has a box of assorted CIS throttle bodies that most are missing the small ID plate, is there any way to know which Throttle Bodies go with which engines?

i do know the 3.0's are bigger in diameter than the 2.7's. other than that i think i would look at vacuum port locations. more specifically where they enter in relation to the plate. just a guess.

Are there any one who has a data file of the assorted throttle bodies units used on Porsches?
