Front brake caliper ID...
I'm looking at Pelican for front brake caliper rebuild kits, and see two options for my '75 Targa - a kit for 'M' calipers and a kit for 'A' calipers. I can't find any part numbers that make sense on the calipers - How do you ID which type these are?
Thanks for the help. |

DOH! Never mind - found the info when looking up "calipers". For those interested (copied off Pelican's caliper page):
"'M' Front & Rear brake calipers are made of Steel and have approximately a 3 inch, center to center, bolt spacing. These were used as front calipers up until early 1975. 'A' Front brake calipers are made of Steel and have approx. a 3 1/2 inch, center to center, bolt spacing. These were used on many mid-70s 911s and practically all 911SCs. In 1984, the Carrera used a wider version of this caliper - the 'wide A'." |
