Dumb Question about speedo
I just replaced all my gauge bulbs with the LED ones and now I have a bright green light on the Speedo that I do not know what it is for. Can someone enlighten me as to what it is please?
I know I am an idiot! |
These cars can be mysterious so don't be hard on yourself.
If it is a Euro spec, it could be the "city lights" indicator. When you pull the headlight switch out 1 notch you light the parking/running lights and a small bulb in the headlight. I don't know if the US/Canada cars have an indicator light for just the parking lights. If they do, then it could be it. |
US cars are the same.
Turn on your parking lights, and look for green. Then turn on your headlights, and it should go out, except you should get blue for brights. |

Some of the best $$ I spent was on an owner's manual for my SC. I think I got it off EBAY for $20 or so. I read it cover to cover and had a few 'ah-ha!" moments. |
I have the manual and just checked, you are correct! It is the parking lights, but it does not seem to go out when i pull the switch all the way out. hmmmmm perhaps it is an issue still.

Do the parking lights go out when the switch is pulled all the way out?
