Post Aftermarket oil cooler-will it flow enough oil?

I have access, (probably free), to an 10 x 15 inch oil cooler with an integrally mounted, themostatically controlled fan. The only issue is that the coils are 1/2 inch inside diameter and I believe my 911SC has 5/8 inch inside diameter hoses. If so, will the lack of cross section hurt the oil pump with back pressure or in any other way cause problems?

I know your dilemma well. In Bruce Anderson's book, he recommends at least Dash 12 AN fittings which is 3/4" IHMO, 1/2 inch is not recommended. You could run two coolers in parallel thereby having a combined area greater that a 3/4 inch cooler fittings. However, the plumping of such an arrangement is very expensive.

How is the oil cooler constructed? Is it a serpentine-type cooler with a single fluid tube for all oil to pass through? If so, this may have too much restriction for the lube system. However, if there are several 1/2 tubes all in parallel with each other, than there would be less overall restriction. I would suggest not using this type of cooler unless there are "turbulators" within the tubes themselves to agitate the oil and break up the boundary layer as oil passes through; this provides better heat transfer.
