Air filter- another hare-brained idea

Ok, so I'm sitting at the computer with a self-imposed case of cabin fever/911 withdrawal: I have to come up with complete lesson plans for 2 classes I'll be teaching starting in March (class 1 class 2 ) and thus am denying myself the pleasures of wrenching on my car. By comparison, a vow of chastity seems easy!

So I was 'cheating' this afternoon, cleaning the air filter - hey, it's regular maintenance, right?

So, the hare-brained idea? Well, I have a K&N cone filter setup replacing the stock airbox, along with a homemade setup to move the air cleaner rearward in the engine compartment. The idea I had was to put a "Y" right before the AFM and run a second air cleaner to the front - there's a bunch of room up there, and I have a second smaller K&N air cleaner sitting around doing nothing.

Well? Thoughts?

....back to work...

If it means spending time in the garage, then I'd say it's a great idea. Who knows, it might even improve performance.
