Really nice. The only thing not correct is the wheels. Ruf would look really sweet or deep dish Fuchs.

The 935 mirrors look great ! What method did you use to mount these mirrors ? Have seen screws through the door frame from the inside and also double-sided tape...TIA, Jim

Seeing 935s race back in the day, I still feel a great admiration for cars like yours. Very nice example!

Thanks guys.
I purchased a strip of aluminum 90degree corner and cut it down to just under the length of each mirror, then shaped it a little on the inside, see image below :

I then lined the mirror, ally strip and door window edge up and marked places for 2 holes. Then drilled the holes and tapped the ones in the door window edge ready for screws.

Next sprayed the aluminum black and pop riveted it to the mirror. Between the mirror and aluminum I also put some black silicone, the stuff you use in bathrooms etc, this filled the little gap and gives a nice smooth flush look.

Then mounted it. You cant see any of the aluminum bracket when the door is closed and it gives a pretty good fit and is secure upto at least 130mph ;-)

I will get black screws as and when to mount the mirror so it looks a little better.

That is a good way to mount the mirrors - I will have to copy that idea...

That is a good way to mount - but there are much simpler, non intrusive ways also... for another data point -

These 935 mirrors (I have a set I sourced from RUF) weigh grams - as in a strong breeze would blow them right off of a table - they weigh nothing.

Double sided sticky tape is another route as mentioned above - nowadays with today's "sticky tape" technology you can hold almost anything that weigh many more lbs. than these paper weight 935 mirrors.

Mine came with a large matte triangle piece of vinyl to put on the inside of the window to cover up the hollow part and also how you mounted them - re- sticky tape, although I think the double sided from 3M also comes in black and industrial versions. Even that is not needed for these.

Have had mine on for over 5 years - no issues and just as strong as the day they were put on.

Anyway just another datapoint as there is no "right way" to get them installed.

Beautiful car, nice crib & cool looking mirrors, how well can you see with them? The stickers don't add in my eye but it's your ride & I hope that you are thoroughly enjoying it. Thanks for the pics.

Looks like a lovely setting to take such a cool bunch of cars, where exactly is it and is it a yearly car show or just somewhere you and a bunch of mates gathered?
Would like a drive in the sunshine there myself, the old house looks very cool.
