Hi there,
![]() Here in Holland it will be forbidden by law to phone without a handsfree set. Now I am looking for a (cellular) phone console (to attach the handsfree kit). The PO tells me that there isn't an original console (Porsche 911 carrera 1985). I don't want to drill holes in my dash. Any suggestions? Thanks, - Kees. ![]() |

My '85 has holes in the center console on the passenger side.
There is also a mount under the passenger seat, I suspect this was for the "mobile phone" of the time design (read: big bulky 12 volt powered unit). If you want I can get pics... eventually. ![]()

Kees-
here in US, several states will be passing similar laws. I almost always use a headset attached to my cellular phone. I have a handsfree speakerphone gadget, but find that the P-car is too noisy to make it effective (I too have an '85). So I just use the earpiece/microphone plugged into the phone. Even with the Targa top off, I've been able to have conversations. My '85 has the console in front of the shifter, but most times, the phone is on the passenger seat.
