the idle at start up is about 900-1000. after about 15 minutes it goes up to a constant 1500-1700. if i turn the idle screw in either direction a half turn nothing really happens. after about 1.5-2 turns in it will suddenly drop in revs til it almost stalls, or it will stall. right now i have it set so it idles well cold. after about 5 minutes it will not idle at all. and then after 15-20 minutes of driving it idles at or around 1100-1500. i'm guessing as the wur warms up it fluctuates the mixture and messes with the idle. unfortunately i am out of town and have not had much of a chance to tinker with it. when i get home i will take a good look at it. maybe remove it and check it for proper function. either confirm or eliminate it as a cause for the idle issue. |
you never said if the DV seems to operae properly when driving. do the RPM's hang a bit before dropping when you let off the gas?
verify the vacuum line routing. check cold and warm control pressures check aux air regulator operation check DV operation- i dont think it is causing your problem, although it could be causing A problem. long shot, but make sure the timing is not causing the RPM's to go hi. |

Trouble-shooting procedure is eliminating components that work until one finds one that doesn't. Asking for help is like a tennis match; one has to return the ball or there is no game. Once you're back to work on the engine, consider giving answers to the above and post pix of your layout. :) Wild guessing or going all over the place is just a waste of time. K-Jetronic CIS works well when set up stock but if you don't want to have the DV or make other changes, all the best.
