Turbo tie rod disconnect from steering rack

I would like to disconnect the tie rod from the steering rack end. Is it as simple as unscrewiing it from the tie rod end? I've tried but it's very tight and I don't want to damage anything. My wrenches are too wide for the slots in the tie rod ends.

Yes it unscrews. Yes it's really, really tight. Do you have it diconnected from the steering knuckle?

Yes, it's all out on the floor. I think my main problem is that my wrenches won't fit and I don't have a proper vise. I may take it to my local machine shop.

I took a grinder to a 1" box/open-end wrench from a Harbor Freight Tools. My MAC wrenches were not even skinny enough.

Could you take a quick measurement of how wide the alumnium rack housing is?
