74 wiper switch replacement

I would like to replace my wiper switch in my 1974 911, but new units are NLA, is it easily replaced by the 76 - 89 (911-613-306-02-M78) switch?

Thanks

The switches were changed in 76 to 89 are all the same. The difference is visual, the plastic on the end of the stalk changed. Good used can work as the wiper doesnt defect as often as the light switch.
